GROW Now Accepting Applications for Next Class

CAA LogoThe Charleston Area Alliance will plant the seeds of success for up to 20 budding area businesses through GROW, an initiative designed to foster entrepreneurship in the Kanawha Valley.  GROW is a six-month entrepreneurial bootcamp that features education sessions, business coaching and entrepreneur community building.

The program, now recruiting for its third class, supports entrepreneurs who have been in business for less than three years and who seek to expand their network and gain insight from experienced and successful area business people. GROW requires your business to already be registered with the West Virginia Secretary of State’s office.

The program will offer entrepreneurial education, support and network building through:

  • Educational courses led by University of Charleston and West Virginia State University MBA professors and successful regional entrepreneurs
  • One-on-one business coaching sessions with a GROW-exclusive business coach
  • Entrepreneur peer group meetings or “Virtual Boards.”

Entrepreneurs must meet eligibility requirements, submit a completed application and commit to six months of engaged participation.

Deadline for applications is June 20.

GROW members will also receive access to free consulting from business professionals in an array of fields including legal, accounting, banking, graphic design, and human resources, in addition to being connected to a professional mentor.

Tuition for the program is $250, which includes a complimentary one-year membership to the Alliance ($365 value).
