WV Women & Technology Conference – October 19, 2020

October 19, 2020 - 10/19/2020
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Online

While the West Virginia Women & Technology Conference will be virtual this year, we remain committed to the goal of addressing the gender gap in STEM and are delighted to welcome you to join us online October 19!

Dr. Nicole Pride

We’re thrilled to announce that our 2020 Keynote Speaker is Dr. Nicole Pride, President of West Virginia State University. Dr. Pride began her career in the corporate and non-profit sectors, and left industry to begin her service in higher education at North Carolina A&T State University. Her personal and professional resume demonstrate a keen understanding of the role of technology in our lives and we’re eager to hear her perspective and plans.

Two panel discussions will follow Dr. Pride’s remarks. In the first, experts from West Virginia State University will offer an insider’s look at the triumphs and challenges of operating within an institution that is designated both as an Historically Black College & University and a Land-Grant institution. In the second, scholars will address systemic racism and its deleterious effects across society.
