9th Annual WV Bioscience Summit April 25th – It Starts With One

It starts with one.  One idea, one researcher, one discovery, one entrepreneur is all it takes to make significant change that helps patients, spurs innovation and facilitates economic progress in West Virginia’s life science sector.

Taking place on April 25th in Morgantown, the 9th Annual West Virginia Bioscience Summit will highlight the “one’s” …the entrepreneurs, researchers and companies making significant contributions in our industry, both here in West Virginia and across the country. To register for the event, or for more information, click here.

Dr. Brett Hall

Dr. Brett Hall, who received his doctorate in cancer biology from West Virginia University and now serves as President of Trans Medical Sciences, Chief Scientific Officer for Immuneering, and Chairman of the Board for BioArkive, will provide keynote remarks at the event.

Dr. Hall is a pioneering biotech scientist and drug developer.  He has worked for large pharma, having served in expanding leadership roles in translational medicine for Janssen and Medimmune. He and his teams have been responsible for translational strategies for over 30 oncology drug programs and directly contributed to the registration of four oncology drug programs.

He is also a serial entrepreneur, having started multiple companies in the biotech space and we look forward to the thoughts and strategies he will share to help move West Virginia’s life science industry forward.

The 9th Annual West Virginia Bioscience Summit will feature discussion on life science companies operating in the state, funding opportunities, policy initiatives to grow the industry, research occurring in the state, and much more.

The event will also feature the Life Science Research Showcase & Reception. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating work underway at WVU and other state research institutions.  This event is open to ALL West Virginia faculty-led research teams from across the state.
