3 Steps to StartUp to Host Sept. 20 “Coaching Success – Technical Assistance for WV Entrepreneurs” Webinar

West Virginia entrepreneurs – whether someone with a unique idea in the concept phase or a mature business in full operation – can benefit from consulting with technical assistance experts in the fields of business planning/coaching, legal, accounting, and marketing.

To showcase the resources available in West Virginia to help entrepreneurs “Plan It, Price It, Protect It, and Pitch It”, the 3 Steps to StartUp Program will host a one-hour, virtual webinar entitled, “Coaching Success – Technical Assistance for WV Entrepreneurs” from 10-11am on Tuesday, September 20th.

Content will focus on the importance of entrepreneurial assistance in the areas of:

  • Business Coaching (Plan It): Offering assistance with everything from concept development and business planning to financing, the WV Small Business Development Center offers myriad free services to help entrepreneurs.
  • Accounting (Price It): Developing the business’s financial plan; understanding “your numbers”; accounting tips for entrepreneurs.
  • Legal (Protect It): Establishing the appropriate corporate structure; protecting your intellectual property.
  • Marketing (Pitch It): Tactics for telling the world what you do and reaching your target audience; developing appropriate and sustainable marketing budgets.

Event presenters will include Will Miller, Deputy Director, WV Small Business Development Center; Robert Nistendirk, CPA, Partner, Woomer, Nistendirk & Associates PLLC; Dusty Gwinn, Esq., Partner, Akers Gwinn; and Michael Ruffing, President, Problem Solvers Consultants.

Leveraging the services of an external expert, whether as a sounding board or as a resource to connect entrepreneurs with assistance providers, is critical to success.
